'The one thing I have chosen that I lack...'
In the rearing of his youth, the Elemental had a flourishing legacy, was the heir to his lands, and had a family as well as something to be taught. His father, named Chanteyukan, was the Spirit Lord, a powerful equine who had an alliance with the Wisdom Lord Greymarch of Piazza Di Saggezza. The young colt Vaiveahtoish had met the Lord on numerous occasions, untrusting of him, but knowing to hold a civil tongue. Vaiveah was trained a warrior, a revered figure in the land, being risen up on the best of techniques, poor socially but a very fomidable force in battle. The lessons from his father taught him a patience in battle, a thoughtful understanding, to learn the enemy from all angles before you strike. He also learned that he served as a protector of the people, and one day he would inherit the task of residing over the Konjou, if he could prove himself worthy.
The threat of the Zuden rose, and both Elemental leaders, Greymarch and Chanteyukan decided it fell upon them to stop the threat before it could grow any more formidable. They lead a march on Terra Di Fuoco with both their herds.yet there was something amiss in the ranks. When the pressure was on for an early victory, Greymarch could see the way to win. Moving forward, though almost the entirety of the force had been slain. Shall he continue, it would mean winning the war, but also loosing the remainder of his breed, and the other. He made his chose, but another saw the faults. Saw the betrayal of the races. The stallion named Vaiveahtoish, knew that he must protect his people. They confronted each other, each with their own ideals. The Konjou wished to pull back, save the remainder of the ranks, keep themselves from a demise that could be prevented, though that would mean having to fight once more one day. Greymarch refused, and presisted. It was this that led not only to the loss of the Chikoa breeding, but also the great lose of the Spirit horses as well. In this great battle, the lead of the Konjou horses perished, leaving the stallion Vaiveah to lead the herd. Vaiveah heard the final strike that killed his father, witness the pain of death in the doom of his own people. Greymarch had indeed won a battle, but had also made an enemy in the end. Vaiveah was not one to forget.
Alone and without kin, the new lead returned to his land, claiming Animus in the name of his own, though he was inheriting not a people to lead. He was alone in the world once more, the last of the Spirit herd, or so he thought. He wandered through the remains, wondering if this was to be the end of his days, alone in Animus with the threat of the Zuden breathing down his neck. He was unsettled, a shell of an equine without a purpose. Then he stumbled upon an intruder in the lands, a withering equine, of Elemental blood, a mudblood, named Stranger. Vaiveah saw in him power, a use for the war that was waging. However, as time wore on, he also found in him his only friend.
Vaiveah had befriended the stallion Stranger, the walking figure of desolation and lonliness, the embodiment of pain and guilt. He had sheltered him in Animus, gave him a purpose, sought to allow him to live. Then, when Stranger was killed by the stallion Spyder out of mere circumstance, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Vaiveah was inconsolable. A huge hole had been blown into his world, the void that had been filled with friendship now sick with lonliness. He found out, by the stallion Call Me Jack, who dared to insult him with the trespass of his lands, the smell of Greymarch on his coat, he knew. Greymarch was Stranger's sire, though he had never known. Therefore, by dismissing his son into the pains and ruins of the world, the blame of his death fell on Greymarch himself. Vaiveah was more than angry. All of this could have been prevented with a few words.
On the shores of Spiagga Del Nord in the shadow's embrace, Vaiveah found Daniaya, a mare of normal breeding. Love he had found, overshadowing the need for his revenge. Fallen hard.
Stranger had become a hellion.
Spyder had killed him.
Greymarch had done the same.
Daniaya was to be dragged into his own battle.
But Vaiveah will find another way...
